Gather these before you start. Renew with: Regional Transport Office (RTO).

Original licence.

Aadhaar or other accepted proof.

Needed for certain age groups and commercial licences.
Before you file
- Driving on an expired licence is an offence, and renewing after a long gap can be harder.
- Start at least 30 days before the expiry date so a rejected form does not push you past it.
- Requirements and fees can differ by state or city. Confirm the final list on the official site or with the issuing office.
- Keep clear PDF or JPG scans of every document ready before you begin.
